Downward Spiral

Recommended Posts

I first came on here for a throat neuralgia, but then I felt better, didn't last. Had a brutal bout of constipation, that resolved shortly after a stat ct scan due to bleeding, but evolved into ongoing diarrhea with pale stools. Chest is breaking out in rash, back pain is worse, chest and face flushing red from anxiety,  I hope. And other countless symptoms. My blood work and CT scans with contrast show no evidence of masses. Kidneys, liver, pancreas, gallbladder all look normal on imaging. No prominent lymph nodes on scan. Of course, that would be reassuring to a rational person. My spinal x-ray shows mild scoliosis with osteophytes on the vertebrae. Could this be the cause of the back pain? Now the diarrhea?  I've been on omeprazole for 34 days, I've read that shit is toxic as fuck, so I discontinued as I've read a slew of nasty side effects that are more common than they lead you to believe. Ugh, I'm losing my shit here. Sorry to whine.

Hi a breath

All your tests came out ok. Yes the back pain could be from the mild scoliosis . I bet you the diarrhea could be from the meds you are taken. Or your heightened state of anxiety which it sounds like you are in. I used to get that when I was really anxious.

In the past I always wrote down my worries or negative thoughts and countered them with productive ones. Maybe try doing that with the health issues you are having right now.

Good luck sounds like health wise your ok. You just need to gain control over the anxiety part. You can do it ;)

take care

Hey Breath,

So sounds like you have had a lot thrown at you and its all sort of hitting you at once. Many positives to your post. I am sorry for the pain you've been through but the majority of results were good . I think it is easy for us to find bad in a world of good cause it just seems to stand out more.

One thing at a time. Don't ever try to put too much in on your plate. It overwhelms. Gets you over thinking and the spiral continues.

Not working gives you a lot of time to think... Try to get yourself into something. Occupy your time. Shift your focus from how you physically feel to other things. Time with the kiddos your fiancé. Our anxiety gets worse when its all we focus on. That is why CBT therapy is so important. When we think positive things its a positive domino effect. When we think negative its like a volcano erupts .

I know it feels like you went from one thing to the next and then its always something going on and that is frustrating . But, you sometimes just have to take a step back. Think of all that you have going good and take it one day at a time.

Stay strong and positive my friend. Remember nothing lasts forever so bad days will turn into good :)
