They may not feel like they are right now, but trust me, it will pass. We can't give a definate time or place, but it will. Just because you feel hopeless right now, it will change. I'm not sure what type of anxiety you are suffering from so it's hard to give specific advice. All I can say is that you have the power to reduce your anxiety, you have control over your thoughts. olley99 1 Posted May 24, 2012 Speak to your doctor right away. Get something to completely relax you and chill you out. Take a walk in the mountain with a family member and talk to them openly about how you are feeling, and try and get some of the emotion out. SarahLizzie 2 Posted May 25, 2012 I am sorry you are having such a rough time right now. Anxiety can be so overwhelming. Have you considered talking to with a doctor about it? They may give you something to help calm the anxiety. What I do when I feel like I am being over come by anxiety is take a hot shower. Ok so really I end up sitting in the shower, allowing hot water to run over me while I a few minutes to cry, or whatever I feel I need to do in order to help feel slightly calmer. Listening to music is also another great way to help calm yourself down. Just sit back and relax for a few, with some music on. For me, it works best when I avoid any type of angry music, or vengeful music. When you anxiety takes hold you, and you feel like it is beginning to suffocate you, sit back, relax, and TRY really hard to think about something positive. If you focus on what is agitating you anxiety, it will get even worse. It will not go away on it's own. You need to work on it, and try to relax, and keep in mind if you efforts do not work, you can always speak with a doctor to see what recommendations he/she can give you. You may assume this is taking over your life, but you need to have the mindset that this will not. You have to believe you are strong enough to overcome it. Find ways to overcome it by finding what works best for you. Obviously, visit a specialist and have them assess your symptoms and weigh in on the causes for your anxiety.
