kjscrafts 1 Posted May 4, 2012 Technology woes are often a trigger for anxiety for me. I guess because I rely too much on them, but what are you to do when it is your job and your life. I try to take the opportunity when technology fails, especially when Internet goes out, to read a book to relax and calm down, but I totally understand it is hard when you need it to do work, as it always seems to go at an important part of a job or project. Driven 0 Posted May 4, 2012 Sorry to hear about your situation. You might be able to do something to help the computer screen situation. Those big, heavy monitors that used to be popular are now extremely cheap thanks to the invention of flat screens. They're big and bulky, but they still get the job done. You might be able to find one for a very cheap price at a pawn shop or online.
Gilly 1086 Posted May 4, 2012 Oh jen im sorry, i would be the same. Just keep breathing and tell yourself it's gonna be ok. Do you have a cable you can hook your computer up to a TV with? and use the tv as a monitor? Mine hooks up with HDMI I use it all the time.
sphinx 0 Posted May 4, 2012 Maybe you could try your local library as well - mine has computers people can use for free - you might have to book but even a couple of hours should be enough for you to get the essentials cleared up.

shaun 6 Posted May 6, 2012 I'm glad you have found a solution. You could also look online for second hand monitors, you can buy a second hand monitor for peanuts these days. When it comes to situations like this, if it is out of your control, there is no point worrying about it, that is what you need to remind yourself. MeiEden 1 Posted June 2, 2012 Jen, I'm so happy things are looking up for you. It's frustrating how tiny things trigger our anxiety and push us over the edge. It's generally helpful for me to focus on the things I can control (I know, it's hard) and keep repeating that to myself over and over. Wishing you the best of luck with your court date as well. When life circumstances around us are going crazy, all we can do sometimes is focus on 1 day at a time.
