susanrad123 0 Posted December 28, 2014 Anyone one here ever uae urbanol? Did you ever get a rash from it on your arms? I read that that can be a serious side effect and now I am scared to drink it. (And yes it was on google). The paper that comes with the meds does not even say anything about it???? Only saying hypersensitivity. What de hell. Is this drug dangerous?? Anyone??? jonathan123 2368 Posted December 28, 2014 Hi susan. One of the side effects of Urbinol can be a rash but it is down as a not serious side effect. Where did you get it? From your GP I hope. In which case as it worries you go back and ask about it, or ring the surgery. Hypersensitivity does mean that you could be sensitive to one of the ingredients. Nothing to worry about but you may want to stop them until your doctor gives you the OK. This is another of Dr. Googles scare stories. A Rash!!! Could be Mongolian Swine Fever, OR Amazon Jungle Womble Fever, OR The Ginger Cat Syndrome. OR Nothing!! See what I mean? It's not funny, and you should never look up the dear doctor. It is a disaster for anyone with health anxiety. Jon.
Bterflymom 155 Posted December 28, 2014 I've never heard of that drug, is it a natural product or a sort of vitamin or med?
susanrad123 0 Posted December 29, 2014 Hi bterflymom, it is a benzo drug (family of xanax and ativan).

susanrad123 0 Posted December 29, 2014 Hi jonothan, how do you know about the rash. Sorry for asking but unfortunately on the site where I saw it it said it is life threatening if you get a rash from it and must seek medical trwatment immediately. Yes I did get it from my gp. I know ativan but have never had a reaction to ativan? And they are the same class of drug. That is why I am asking how you know about the urbanol rash? Seeing as I am now a hypochondriac, what do you think about natural remedies? And also what are your thoughts about hypnotherapy?
jonathan123 2368 Posted December 29, 2014 Hi susan. I only know about it from hearsay. A friend of a friend took it and was told that the rash she developed was not serious. But please do not take my word for it as I may have got it wrong. You must ask your GP for advice on this. Natural remedies and hypnotherapy work for some and many have had good results, but it is a case of try it and see. Hypnotherapy is worth a go. Be careful about taking herbal remedies when on prescribed drugs. They often don't mix well and can cause trouble. Always ask your GP first if in doubt. Jon. Dany 10 Posted December 29, 2014 Your best option on this is to go and ask your doctor if this is dangerous and maybe discuss about a change in your treatment. One thing though, if there was a threat to your life because of that medication you would have more severe symptoms and not only a rash. The symptoms are quite fast and in minutes from taking the pill you will have them. Talk to your doctor and see what might caused that rash. Take care!
