Finding your passion is hard to do but will help with your anxiety and depression :)

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Its been a long while since I have been here...and some of you know me!! I just wanted to post something for everyone who suffers from anxiety or depression. My whole life has been consumed with anxiety...and for good reasons. We all have it to some degree but some take it to a higher level which in my opinion are the ones that are more compassionate and who's hearts are bigger than most!! And that is a wonderful thing...we should all be proud of that!  What I have learned in the past year of my life (and its been difficult) is that I needed to force myself to re-introduce me to the world and its surroundings. With anxiety and depression you do not want to not speak with your family and friends, or maybe dont want to leave the house and turn to the internet for help or worse drugs and alcohol. The most important thing that has brought me to where I am today is I finally pursued a passion that I never thought I could do. We all have something that is inside of us that fills our sole with comfort or purpose we just need to search for it!!! Bring yourself FIRST until you start to feel better. Exhaust all sources to help you through your struggles...seek your passion and never ever give up :)

And to Gill, Joy, Nino, JJ ,Iowa, Scott, and Kitty I wish you all the best and still love you guys xoxoxoxox (come on you knew I had to get all mushy thats just me)

Hello again you, and welcome back :) It's really good to hear you have found something that has helped so much, I have too, I joined a gym and have been swimming every week, even got a tan during the summer! Hope you stick around (yes I know who it is, I nailed it before the mushy bit too :p ) <3

Haha that's awesome! You always wanted to do something like that didn't you?, very happy you are following your dreams! I knew it was you by the way you type ;) Swimming has been so awesome, so far I've lost 30 lbs, and stephen has lost 42 lbs. It's done us the world of good, I've even bought a bikini to wear this summer :o I'm a little hooked on the out door pool, it's not quite the same in winter when it's closed and we have to use the indoor one, although the jacuzzi is boss!

I'm doing better since I did CBT last summer, the therapist really challenged me, part of it was to keep going swimming, and as you might guess joy is doing a great job of making sure I keep it up! Also, I signed up yesterday to do a short Uni course 'introduction to forensic science' I love that stuff and can't wait to get started :)
