I would just lte your doctor know what's going on in case he might need to take a look.

I think he wants to wait a few days and test again. I'm really hoping this has something to do with my history of kidney stones. Also, the test showed the presence of mucus in the urine. The mucus would have probably had something to do with it; lubricating effect. You could have passed a stone and not known it.
MARC 431 Posted October 9, 2022 My friend once had visible blood in his urine for one week and no cause was ever found.

He wants to go ahead and get an ultrasound done and set me up with urology just to go a little farther. He checked my prostate and said didn't feel anything abnormal. The prostate would be responsible for restricting urine flow by closing up the urethra, so that could be ruled out, although the bleeding could still be in the urethra as whatever it was passed. You'd kinda wonder if you did pass a really small kidney stone or something. How much pain did you have?
MARC 431 Posted October 11, 2022 Good luck with the ultrasound. Please let us know how it goes. Odds are you will be OK.
MARC 431 Posted October 11, 2022 Many years ago I had blood in my semen. I was sent to a Urologist who actually massaged my prostate in his office until I squirted on a slide. I laugh about it now, but it was so painful that I felt my insides were going to explode. I would never want to go through that again. All was OK. Nothing was found but it said borderline bladder wall thickening. Wasnt sure about that. I'm just afraid the ultrasound missed something.
MARC 431 Posted October 15, 2022 The ultrasound does not miss anything. Glad to here you are OK!!!
Mel1981 11 Posted October 30, 2022 I just can't seem to stop the constant worry that I have a tumor or something. I can't get into a urologist until December 12th and messaged my GP who said the waiting can be difficult but there's not an urgent reason to get to the urologist sooner. He said no tumors on the ultrasound so I'm trying to keep that in mind. But of course I keep thinking that the ultrasound just didn't show the tumor or the radiologist missed it. I'm afraid an ultrasound isn't good enough. I messaged the urologist with a couple of pictures of the clots even though I haven't seen him yet and he didn't seem concerned. Just said if I have burning or anything then have another urine test done. I have a history of a couple of stones but this time I never felt pain. I had a CT back in May of 2020 and nothing bad was found then. I just can't seem to trust my doctor or the ultrasound on this.
MARC 431 Posted October 30, 2022 I have had ultrasounds in the past of my neck and my abdomen, and they were read as clear. I know it can be difficult, but you have to accept the results, which were good.

I still think it would something internal like you passed a small stone, but I'm not a doctor. As has been said, the doctors would know. Just monitor your urine to see if it gets worse or better, Either way, keep the appointment.

There hasn't been any indication of that, so you can't really follow that thought through.
