Karaharl 0 Posted August 19, 2020 So I started feeling sick about 6 weeks ago, it was just a general unwell feeling..I didn't feel right at all. I then checked my pulse for whatever reason and it was 130, blood pressure was 189/100.. I literally talked myself into thinking I must have had some kind of neoplastic condition from cancer causing my symptoms, I accepted those symptom's as anxiety and it went away. Then I started getting twitching, while I was still feeling unwell.. I convinced myself it must be ALS.. then I developed intense muscle pain in my legs along with low back pain ( started after a 16 hour car drive) I developed a really uncomfortable numbness in my legs which I still have... I do have a rare bone disease and have degeneration in my back, so my Dr thinks I have some kind of pinched nerve. Well.. lately I've been mixing my words up.. not being able to focus, memory issues, i feel like im having difficulty talking, kinda biting my tongue, not thinking straight and kinda mumbled speech. Well im totally convinced i have a gioblastoma, these issues seem to be pretty intense during a high anxiety attack, and then when I calm down a little they mostly resolve, until i catch myself talking funny again and then it spirals out of control. My Dr reffered me to a neurologist but they cant see me for a month!! if I have a gioblastoma, shouldnt i be seen now?
MARC 431 Posted August 21, 2020 My physician once told me the usual first symptom of a brain tumor are seizures.
ZenCube 59 Posted August 25, 2020 One sided symptoms are the rule for brain cancer. It would not be 'numbness in the legS' but paralysis of one limb or hemiparesis all together. As the previous poster said, seizure are another red flag, as are morning or nocturnal headaches (often also present in just one spot or on one side only of the skull and that won't respond to your standard painkiller) along with effortless vomiting due to intracranial tension building up. I now have myself extremely worked up that I have a brain tumour because I have had one sided headaches for so long and lately they’ve gotten worse. My left temple is tender to the touch and pain relievers aren’t working! I’m scared to go to the doctor and I was working really hard at convincing myself that I’m worked up for nothing but this seems very convincing that it could be cancer! Help! Please don't get me wrong: it's one sided NEUROLOGICAL issues I was talking about not so much one sided HEADACHES. I take you don't have a limb paralysis or half your face going limp? Then you don't have what I called "one sided symptoms". Please calm down, headaches are not enough to raise a red flag. I get the fear but try to understand that your mind is looking for scary things, not that scary things are actually happening (that's the trademark of health anxiety and I'm pretty sure you have HA and not brain cancer). MARC 431 Posted September 10, 2020 Many years ago my wife's sister had a brain tumor and passed away at the age of 5. She had trouble walking and her eyes turned inward.
