nicole97 6 Posted August 2, 2019 Yes I know, I can't believe I am writing about a bruise. The thing is, I do NOT bruise. EVER. I have broken bones and you couldn't even tell, I just don't bruise. A few days ago, I had this little bruise pop up on my forearm. I don't remember hitting anything (and for me to bruise, I would have had to hit pretty hard) and it hasn't changed at all, no sign of lightening up at all. It's about the size of a dime. No lump with it, doesn't hurt to press on it, nothing like that. It's kind of a light pinkish-brown bruisy color. If I were a person that bruised, I wouldn't care, but I don't. And this popped up out of nowhere and isn't showing any signs of going away so far.
bin_tenn 1252 Posted August 2, 2019 You may not bruise as easily as others, but I believe you're still prone to bruising. It depends - on A LOT of different factors. If you're highly concerned see your doc, but I think it'd be fine to give it a week or two before you do that.
adamden 58 Posted August 2, 2019 Like bin said, bruising can happen based on a lot of different factors. You don’t have to hit something in order to bruise. In my opinion, unless it starts to become extremely painful or turns black or blue, it won’t be anything to worry about in the near future
nicole97 6 Posted August 2, 2019 Thanks guys! I will keep an eye on it and give it some more time. Just so odd. And I know it's a weird thing to worry about, I've been so good for so long, but I honestly do not bruise. Ever. Broken bones, surgeries, blood tests, general clumsiness, never a bruise. So it caught me by surprise.

So it caught me by surprise. I don't bruise easily either, though I've also never broken a bone or had a surgery, but I see small bruises from time to time. Even after an IV in the hospital twice (once for a real issue, once for what was a panic attack), I had no bruising. You couldn't really tell I had the IV. But bruises can still pop up. You're not immune to them, your body just doesn't bruise for reasons most other people do. Like I said, if it persists or gets worse, see your doc. Doesn't mean anything is seriously wrong, but if it's abnormal for you then your doc can help determine whatever the cause is, and also help treat it. Feel well soon, @nicole97! Ellebel 67 Posted August 2, 2019 @nicole97 also everyone bruises. Maybe not that easily, but everyone does. Its natural. That you might bruise now when you havent before is also a logical process of aging. Every passing day those veins get more fragile and bruise easier. You might notice them more and more. Dont worry!
