Ellebel 67 Posted July 31, 2019 Hello Friends! It has been a long time!! My HA and fears in general got much much better to the point of just being super busy with a promotion and not even thinking about it anymore! ‘So I twitch? Whatever!’  Etc. A couple of days ago i found out i am pregnant!! 5 weeks today! Not really planned but very very welcome (wanted to start after summer anyway)..  and maybe its the hormones but OMG my anxiety is back full blown. 😰 i enjoyed the news for about five minutes before started to read into everything that could go wrong early pregnancy, miscarriage rates, etc. By now i am fearing the fear would become some self fulfilling prophacy dang it! And not just miscarriage though... i have some pale coloured stools and ended up the rest of the day googling pancreatic cancer (i know dr google is evil, dont remind me). Suddenly every symptom fits.. i have been having diarrhea a lot and also for weeks been having this strange pain/pressure under my left rib.  Jep i convinced myself today. Oh wel, at least for a few hours i want in utter agony over miscarriagefears...  Why do i do this again? Why cant i just enjoy my pregnancy like a normal person.. 😪
bin_tenn 1252 Posted July 31, 2019 Hi, @Ellebel. Congratulations on the baby, that's wonderful. If it makes you feel any better, none of my three were planned. LoL! Wouldn't want it any other way though. Is this your first? I've heard that pregnancy can definitely exacerbate anxiety, and even create some anxiety in people without a history. It makes sense because, yes, hormones. It affects everyone differently, pregnancy does. My fiance, for example, has a history of some anxiety, but pregnancy caused no apparent uptick for her. But I know several women who went into some degree of depression during pregnancy. I understand you're worried, but take care of yourself and that baby. You'll be fine. Congrats again, and I hope you feel well soon.
Ellebel 67 Posted July 31, 2019 @bin_tenn Thaaanks 🤗.  Yes it is my first so every new feeling is a bit scary lol. Good to know that the hormones can indeed mess with anxiety!

But they certainly are amazing and fun to have. Have you visited your OB and all that yet, or did you just take a home test(s)?
Holls 1505 Posted July 31, 2019 Ellebel!!! Congratulations 🎉 how exciting. In the beginning your hormones will be a bit out of wack causing some higher anxiety but it will level out soon again. That pain you are feeling is muscular and the stools is just what you have been eating I get pale stools too my Dr said not to worry. I'm so so so excited for you!
adamden 58 Posted July 31, 2019 Big congrats to you!! Seems like you’re ready to embark on this great life journey!! Yep, hormones are gonna be out of wack as your body gets adjusted to hosting the baby. In turn, anxiety will rear its ugly head. Just tell it, no. I’m having a baby. Don’t mess this shit up  LOL. Cant wait to hear the progress!
Ellebel 67 Posted August 1, 2019 @bin_tenn over here it is pretty normal to just take home tests since they are not less sensitive then the dokters. My first OB gyn appointment will be on august 21st including ultrasound. So excited and i really hope that everything will turn out perfect lol 😀  @Holls thanks i am super excited!!! I kinda know the cramps and twinges are part of it but the insecurity messes with your mind. Really, you get pale stools too? How pale? Maybe tmi but i felt mine are like a darker beige, american peanut butrer style. Thats considered normal? Would be a huge relieve cuz it has sure been bugging me combined with that weird pain/pressure under my left rib. Dont want anything compromising the baby u know 😃  @Amdam thanks so much!!! 🎉. I am so happy and can hardly wait to tell the world lol, but will be patient for a few more weeks before i do that. I heard the miscarriage risk is still pretty high that early so i am keeping it quiet as much as i can still🤫.  Hard time convincing people why I, party girl pur sang, aint drinking lol🙈
Bobnnat 496 Posted August 1, 2019 Elle, Congratulations! When evil Google talks about "pale stools" they mean white/light grey. You have brown and as Holls said, what you eat changes the shade. So can stress. Enjoy the ride and keep us posted as you progress. Any thought whether you'll want to know the sex? Bob
MARC 431 Posted August 1, 2019 Congratulations! Pancreatic cancer is typically a disease of middle age and the elderly. My uncle had pancreatic cancer at 85 and initially had extreme abdominal pain and was rushed to the ER.
