RachelStorm98 12 Posted June 13, 2019 Hello everyone! It’s been awhile since I have posted here. Found out what all of my abdominal issues were. I had a malfunctioning gallbladder and it was only functioning at 23%. I had surgery to have it removed almost 2 weeks ago. 😁I never had gallstones, but my gallbladder was starting to go. I’m glad that I had it removed. I’ve managed my anxiety real well, so that’s why I’ve been off of the forums. I’m trying not to get too worked up over this. I’ll just schedule a doctors appointment and try not to worry. Thank goodness for therapy, which has been working great! 🥰 Anyways, I have been dealing with horrible bowel movements for the past few day’s... i’m Constantly on the toilet with loose stools. For the past couple of days I have been getting clay colored stool. Very pale. Almost white. It hasn’t stayed that way, thank goodness. It has went back to brown. It’s really been back and forth. I’ve also been having mild abdominal pain. No fevers yet. I’m trying to make sure I am recovering fine and that I am not getting complications from this surgery. One of the complications says pancreatitis, but I have no fever or severe pain. I thought pancreatitis was very painful? Especially the acute kind? Is pancreatitis painful? Making an appointment, trying to keep calm. I’m pretty chill. I’m keeping my anxiety in a hole, where it belongs, and away from me. I should also add that I still have mild acid reflux issues and have been nauseous over the past few day’s. I can still eat and drink. I’ve been trying to cut back on fatty foods. I ate fatty food over the past few days, so maybe that is my issue. Lol Glad to be back on. Hope all is well with you guys. ❤️
Bobnnat 496 Posted June 14, 2019 So glad your anxiety is in check! Pancreatitis is supposedly excruciating, and frequently needs hospitalization. Sounds like either your diet, or your digestive tract is still recovering from the surgery after affects. Mention it to your doc, but i agree no cause to fret at all. angrry 55 Posted June 14, 2019 after gallbladder removal you will have looser stools for a while....the bile from your liver goes directly into the intestine now instead of being stored in the gallbladder since it of course isnt there anymore...you'll need to cut back on fatty foods for a while. I'm speaking from experience, I had my gallbladder removed back in 2008. It took a few weeks to get back to normal.
MARC 431 Posted June 15, 2019 I had a client of mine's son who had it and he could not stop vomiting and had to be hospitalized for a few days.
mollyfin 366 Posted June 15, 2019 It is "they give you morphine without being asked" levels of painful; I knew someone who had it.
RachelStorm98 12 Posted June 15, 2019 Another Gallbladder removal type question, i’m still recovering from surgery but was wondering if two weeks later I can still get the “heart attack” like pains I had before the gallbladder was removed? Maybe I am just overly gassy lol. I’m young so i’m Not really concerned about heart attack, but I was just wondering. Went to my doctors today. All is good. He told me it’s normal and to take it easy. He said if it didn’t stop in a few weeks to give him a call. Thanks for the advice everyone. I’m glad I am in a much better state of mind, anxiety wise.
lofwyr 215 Posted June 16, 2019 My father had it so badly it almost killed him. He is an old man who has had a lot of issues throughout his life and it was without a doubt the most painful experience he has ever had. The pain was so bad it triggered two heart attacks and he spent three weeks in the ICU and three months in the hospital.
