Solafide3 18 Posted April 25, 2019 Well the I think I have ALS queen is back. After weeks of accepting I’m fine some weird crap happens. Has anybody ever had twitches so big it moves your limb? I had my arm laying across myself and all of the sudden - THUMP THUMP THUMP! That’s what it felt like and my whole forearm jumped with it. Does anybody else get twitches like that? Gilly 1086 Posted April 30, 2019 Yep, all the time. I'm a twitcher and have been for several years. Random whole limbs, areas, odd places you don't think you can twitch. No ALS, still alive and kicking (and twitching) ☺️
Bella P 75 Posted May 1, 2019 (edited) I have them when I get extremely anxious or right after exercising, it’s actually pretty normal. It’s caused by rushes of adrenaline and other hormones I can’t remember the names of. Magnesium, Potassium and Vitamin B12 deficiencies can also cause some muscle twitching, so try eating foods rich with those nutrients. I assure you that is not ALS, though I hope you feel better soon. Edited May 1, 2019 by Bella P Spelling error.
ZenCube 59 Posted May 2, 2019 Doesn't sound like "twitches", in the sense of "fasiculations". What your report looks like myokemia or myoclonia, both not in the ALS field. Real fasics don't have the capability to move your limb (save for the ones in the hand that will make your finger jerk a bit⁾.
