Wingnut 13 Posted April 23, 2019 Hey everyone. Tonight I may have taken my pill (an SSRI) twice by mistake. Im not exactly sure and Ive never done anything this stupid, but im freaking out now about seretonin syndrome or ending up in the ER. I take 125mg of Luvox (Fluvoxamine) twice a day. Angelica Schuyler 217 Posted April 23, 2019 Don’t panic. The maximum prescribed dose for Luvox is 300 mg, so you wouldn’t have gone over by much. Your body has also had time to process your morning dose, so it’s not like taking 375 mg in one shot. You’d need much more than that to develop seratonin syndrome. If you want to be on the safe side, maybe give your doctor a ring in the morning to see if you should skip your daytime dose. But I wouldn’t worry about it. jonathan123 2368 Posted April 23, 2019 No worries at all. It's a good idea to get one of those pill dispensers that have compartments for different days. If you pop a pill in each day until you have used all the compartments up then you can be sure about how many you took. Refill it every week.
