RachelStorm98 12 Posted February 8, 2019 I am currently drenched and I mean drenched in a cold sweat. I feel all loopy I noticed more red patches and everything hurts... 😢 I'm shivering so much
Iugrad91 501 Posted February 8, 2019 Ok, many of your symptoms are normal. Your platlet count is in a normal range (assuming you meant 169,000-179,000) as over 150,000 is normal. You have your period which explains the blood in your urine. Higher heart rate above 90 is not necessarily abnormal even at rest. Haven’t had a bm in a day, normal, especially if you’re so worried and not eating. Folliculitis, in your pic there are a few red bumps and that’s it. Hardly anything to worrry about. The rest sound like it could be a cold or honestly it could all be anxiety. You are panicking and your body is reacting to it. The tight chest, cold sweats, muscle pain, feeling of doom, fatigue, needing to pee a lot, all can be symptoms of anxiety. Can you go talk to someone today? RachelStorm98 12 Posted February 8, 2019 Okay I literally can not do this anymore. Seriously. I am about ready to make another trip up there. I want to believe that this is just a really nasty case of that flu that is going around but I don't want to take chances. This all happened when they pulled out my IV. Went to bed, and yesterday afternoon I felt like shit. There is throbbing pain in the lower back. Ouch. I have been so tired and fatigued today. 😢 Have red marks on different places of my body that weren't there before and haven't gone away. And the thing that scares me the most is that I am not thirsty. I have no urge whatsoever to drink anything. I can't eat anything literally. My abdominal area hurts so bad I was crying out... hugging myself. My mom is at her wits end with me and doesn't want me to go she doesn't even want to take me. I can't get up whatsoever. I really don't know what to do... I don't want to wait this out because Sepsis and the stomach flu are pretty darn similar. I hate to do this and I really don't have the energy for it but I think I am gonna walk up there before I get in any worse condition. With how sick I am at this point I am hoping they don't miss it. I'm not leaving. Until they have done every single darn test to rule out sepsis. And I mean EVERY one of them! I want all the blood tests they got ran on me. I want a blood culture sample done. I want flu tests done I want imaging done. Preferably CT scans since they are pretty accurate. If I don't leave here today to go and be seen again then I may not be here later tonight or tomorrow. Probably gonna take the dollar bus to bel air. I don't feel like walking to havre de grace even though it is closer. I really hate myself for this but I need to be here for the future. I want to be able to pull through this I have a 4 week old niece to be around here for. If for some reason I can not make it there then I will just walk to havre de grace. I know my mom will kick me out. They think it's the flu. 🙄 Well I don't! I don't think this is the flu, I have never felt this way with any flu bug in my entire life. She'll be mad. I am not even gonna tell her, I am 20 years old and I can go up to the hospital if I want to. I feel so sick. I am shocked the possibility of sepsis is there because I popped that cyst about a week ago. Why that long to show symptoms? Maybe it was a blood infection, that turned into sepsis? Maybe my immune system couldn't take care of the bacteria from that popped cyst. Maybe I got sepsis from the IV needle that was ripped out of me. I could of have possibly picked up something nasty at the hospital but I doubt it. Ugh this morning I threw up spit and such, such a gross taste! Yuck! I am sick enough I am sure they'll check. I want them to. There are only two things it could be. Sepsis or the nasty flu that is going around. My sepsis is everywhere. My leg, my arms, my brain, my lungs, my kidneys, my liver, my colon, my stomach. My breasts. Yep. Everywhere. My breathing is fast and my head is pounding. My breathing is fast and my head is pounding. But you don't have sepsis...you have already been checked and they sent you home. What is going to be different this time vs last time you went to the ER. If you had anything, it would have been seen in blood work. Blood work doesn't miss something serious like sepsis. Your breathing is fast from anxiety, and that also explains the head pounding. What are you going to do when you find out this is not sepsis ?
Iugrad91 501 Posted February 8, 2019 Do you have a primary care doc? You should start with them, schedule a sick patient visit. Your breathing and headache are from the panic you are feeling. You are not a doc so saying there are only two things it could be is ridiculous. The fact that you are so focused on sepsis when, in fact, there are a bunch of different kinds of infections one can be exposed to, tells me that you have anxiety first and foremost. We have suggested getting help over and over, please take our advice and talk to someone about your anxiety disorder ASAP.
Ihadcancer 321 Posted February 8, 2019 Good Grief! It would be easier if you told us what is NOT wrong with you! Tape ....... If I have tape or a bandaid on my skin, within 24 hours I break out and it itches like crazy. I can even get blisters if it was something that had to be bandaged for more than an hour or so. Many people react to the glue on tape and bandaids. If you had sepsis, you'd be very ill by now. My husband has had it twice. Once from a lung infection and the other a bladder infection. He has COPD from asbestos exposure and he has been unable to urinate for 37 years so has to cath himself. It's not a fever if your temp isn't over 100.4. Former cancer patient (twice) and that is a known fact. You're spending way too much time fixating on your body. Most of it all sounds like anxiety to me. Ihadcancer 321 Posted February 8, 2019 Blood Cultures take up to 5 days to come back. There is Sepsis Septic Septic Shock None of them are like the stomach flu.

Sadly I had the worst kidney pain I have ever felt that left me on the floor in pain. I was very weak and my mom put me in the shopping cart. 😢 My legs hurt so badly I buckled and fell on the floor. Was feeling horrible since this morning. We got home and my mom took my temperature and she said it was 100. Something degrees. She didn't tell me the rest. But... I was at the hospital with tons of sick people who had the flu so maybe I just picked it up. 🤷♀️ Wouldn't of they had found Sepsis the first time I went? More than 24 hrs after I popped that ingrown hair folicale cyst? (Got most of the pus out of that one.) I didn't really start feeling ill until a day just about after I noticed the dots around the IV site. I do get a lot of stinging pain in various places of my body. Including my shoulders. Looked at the site of my folicliutis and looked more inflamed and red on my inner thigh.

Holls 1505 Posted February 9, 2019 Rachel, idk I don't know how many times we or Drs have to tell you that you don't have sepsis or the flu.. or an infection. Your NOT listening. You are having panic/anxiety attacks. I really hope you get help soon. You are too young for this.

You aren't bothering anyone but this forum is also a place to take advice from people. Unfortunately, you haven't done that yet. What have you done to help your anxiety today? Did you go for a long walk? Did you read a book? Journal, meditate? Research how to help anxiety? You will not get better sitting around taking your temp a hundred times a day. That's toxic behavior. Sometimes tough love is needed. We want to see you get better and you even promised yourself when you were at the e.r. you would let this go and you have gotten worse. Not physically worse but anxiety worse.

He told me that it could be caused by not eating enough protein or by not eating much. I was diagnosed with Influenza A so that explains it.
