Hi everyone, so I'm very new to this website and I'm coming for help before I go see my doctor. Little background info, I've been on the same BC pill for about 3-4 years. Had a clear pap screen when I was 16 and have clean STD/HPV results and I've been with the same person for 5 years. On and off we've had unprotected sex (we're both clean) and protected sex. I've had a ultrasound pelvic exam about 1-2 years ago and another ultrasound exam last year and both were clean except I had a really small cyst that ruptured. My problem lately is that the past few days, I've been having spotting/irregular bleeding and my period isn't due until next week. My periods are usually pretty regular. I'm not new to spotting but I'm just concerned that it went from dark brown mucous to regular blood mucous then back to a white/brown all within the past few days. I have a mild cramp on my groin that radiates to my thigh but I've always had this when I have my period. We're not suspecting pregnancy bc we've been using condoms in combination with the pill for the past week and we're very careful when we're unprotected. There was a day that I was 2 hours late from my pill taking time last week. Should I be suspecting cancer? Or could this be my hormones being extra mean this time? I've had my doctor look at my cervix last year and she said it looked completely fine and that I heard BC can contribute to lowering the risk of ovarian cancer. No I have not had Gardasil yet but I plan on getting that this year and also receiving my pap this year as well. Should I be extremely worried? I know that this is common between women but still I'm just so scared that it could be something dangerous. Help?
