    Itchy skin

    That's encouraging!
  2. It is thinking triggering anxiety. Low B12 levels aren't making it any easier. B12 helps to calm you sown and keep you hydrated.
  3. Your niece doesn't have the thought/reaction patterns that you developed. She didn't have the same consideration or even thinking that you have. That's the interesting thing about those of us who deal with anxiety. We have trained ourselves to see all of this so differently than other people. Then, we work ourselves up. In her mind, she is likely not thinking about getting sick. It'll be like.....she'll only focus on it when it happens.....if it doesn't happen, it won't enter her mind.....like it would us!
  4. The key is getting to know yourself so that when things like this come up, you'll know how to handle it next time.
  5. From what I read, Hanta virus is rare in North America at least. I ran into mouse poo - sprayed it with Lyson disinfectant spray, and then cleaup with gloves. No biggie. You would have already had symptoms. Hyperventilation is anxiety lol.
  6. After three weeks, if you had been exposed to rabies, you would have had symptoms by now. As for the "hanta" business as well, the animal would have to have it. That's kind of a stretch. It sounds like the wheezing and asthma could be triggered by stress more than anything.
  7. I am on Anxiety Space, yes, but not Anxiety Zone.
  8. I had a feeling that the'd say everything was okay. Stress has a way of messing with our mind. Keep us posted.
  9. Yeah, doctors are rushed and can go in tangents. Since the pandemic, it has been just weird. That's good news. Until then, try not to let things worry you. You have a concrete date to go on.
  10. Uncertainty will add to anxiety. At least they told you that they would start to monitor. That's good news, Stealth!
  11. Be patient and try to relax.
  12. Yeah - I do at times. I think it is becoming a common issue (with coming out of the pandemic). It depends on the event. If I know the people well, it is not a problem. It's interesting to see what happens when I actually initiate a conversation (small talk), and people are receptive. I think more people have nerves than we think.
  13. I wonder if quoting will send a notification....... There is interest in continuing this discussion.
  14. Good news, man! Yeah - he gave you the OPTION. You don't have to worry. Anxiety will move around. It can get to the point where you could have a panic attack....because you aren't panicking!
  15. I exercise a lot, so I am able to channel it out. I sprained my ankle in February and am still in a rehab point. I am restarting to run a bit. I do a four mile power walk (doing the cross country skier move) and have put in a jog of increasing distance over time. It's about half walk/half jog after two months. Exercise helps!
  16. Stress will do this. The heart palpitations, but moreso the thinking. It's all tied. You aren't alone; it's not an easy time. As I have had to figure it out...we have to watch what we worry about. If something isn't in our control, and there seems to be a lot in this area, we shouldn't be putting energy into it. Filter things down to what we can control, and we are good.

    Itchy skin

It could be anything...circulation, nerves, stress. The key is to only focus on known information. It does sound like a decent sign that the urgency of your results isn't high. If there was something really wrong, you would be attended to. It would seem kind of malpractice for a serious issue to sit on a desk for the next two weeks. I can imagine stress is high right now. Just about anything could happen, even psychosomatic stuff. The mind does wonders if you let it. First - be glad that you don't have to go through the family emergency; there is stress with the doctor. Second - again, you can ony focus on what you know. The test is done; the results are available. If it was serious, you would probably have heard something before he left.
  18. It's just a matter of getting the visibility. The site was down for some time, as was the sister site anxiety-space.com. I try to check in every so often.
  19. It is possible. It takes thought retraining. To not react to things the way that could cause us anxiety.
  20. The owners do come around. Both Anxiety Central and Anxiety Space. That "6 years" was likely the image left behind and not updated. I have known the owners for years. We were on other forums and saw the same business you have. My forum was "powder blue" lol.
  21. You just had a triumph here. You waited until you got more information. I had to go to the ER a couple of weeks ago after feeling a pop in my ankle while jogging. I had to go in case I did damage - the pop wasn't something I ever dealt with. Three X-rays later, I found out it was just a sprain....but....sometime in the past, I HAD broken a bone in my ankle, and I didn't know it!

    Heart scan

I haven't had one. I had to do some reading to determine what a Calcium Heart Scan was. It doesn't look like it has anything to do with the lungs at all. The test is to find out how much calcium is in your arteries that, like plaque, can restrict blood flow through the body and to the brain. I have had a sonogram on my neck to find plaque in my arteries, but not calcium. It takes a CT scan to do the calcium scan,
  23. Stress can trigger anxiety. The anxiety pattern is a distraction. We actually thrive is these situations because we are used to the anxious condition.
  24. You're overloading yourself and then freaking out about things that you can't balance on that overloaded plate. At that point, you have to stop and assess what you can handle and let the rest go.
