  1. Hello! I've been hooked up to a 7 day monitor, have done multiple ECGs, and echo. Cardiologist/electrophysiologist were not really concerned about my heart palpitations. My heart is structurally good, but they did see PVCs (premature ventricular contractions). With PVCs, no one really knows the exact cause of it. I was told that if I'm not experiencing thousands of it, I should not be worried about it. However, I was getting about 3 to 6 per minute which is about 8 thousand a day. I was hooked up to another machine that will count the number of PVCs I have. That is still pending, and have an appointment with the doctor soon. I have gone through the route of also exploring my mental health while going through all of that. After doing a lot of research, reading literatures, and going to a therapist, I really believe now that I was psychosomatic and that the anxiety is what is causing this physical symptom. The mind is such a powerful thing! It can cause you to get sick if you don't watch your mental process. Listening to Panic Attack Recovery podcast has made me realize small things I wouldn't have on my own. They have great info and strategies that has helped me take my own steps to breaking the cycle of anxiety. It is not easy especially with the tremendous amount of garbage I have put in my head since I was a kid. Meditation has helped me also. I try to do it at least once a day. Good luck to you too. I hope it is also getting better for you like it is for me!
  2. I’ve been to the ER 3 times for the past 4 weeks because of palpitations and my heart shooting up to 150s. I still have the palpitations and the cloud of thought that I’m going to die is always hanging over my head. I truly believe there’s something wrong with my heart, but now I don’t know if my mind is just playing tricks on me. I was discharged home with a dx of general anxiety which for me was ridiculous! How can I be anxious and not know it? Is that possible? But after reading more about it. Maybe, I have anxiety and now I’m just trying to get some type of support/answer.
