Hello Holls I really appreciate your answer, thank you for taking your time! It's being really hard but I'm hanging here. Last Monday I started to take Gabapetin to help with the burning, yesterday I was actually feeling good normal I was really happy, but end up going to sleep late at 3am and woke up at 7am today feeling everything again, I don't know if has to do with lack of sleep. I definitely agreed with all your advices, specially CBT, I spoke to my daughter therapist and she gave few numbers of therapists that are specialized in CBT somatic anxiety. I'm really looking forward to start. I'm wondering if anybody on this blog has taken any medication to stop this struggle "burning skin sensation"?And also how can someone that has this problem is able to sleep? In my case the only way to sleep is taking Ativan, and Sonapure. Thank you so much !!

Hello guys everything started last December 2016, small hot area on my right leg. Time goes by and everything seems well, I went for a trip in march and everything was great beside my anxiety that I've been dealing for this past 10 yeas which become out of control about 2 2/1 years ago. Now my life has changed upside down this past two months. The burning sensation skin spread all over my body, I'm cmpletely lost, the burning it's on my arms, chest, legs back, shoulders, toes. I fell sometimes my body vibrating on the inside, hands shakin. I've been to many Psychitrys in the past and always been prescribed Paxil, Prozac,Zoloft, etc for anxiety but I never stick to the treatment. I always start taking and between one week to a month I use to stop taking. I've been always agaist medication. And always been prescribed Ativan or lorazepam to manage my anxiety, I know this medication is addictive so I never took over 1mg a day and only took as needed for anxiety and 90% of the time I took only .5mg which always helps. This past two months I went to over to 8 different doctors, I have done 4 MRIs brain, cervical, thoracic and lombar plus a brain EEG. Every blood test that you can imagine I've done and at the end everything is normal. No MS, no autoimmune etc... I'm completely lost and exhausted, this burning feeling does not let me sleep, my average sleep time is two to 3 hours a night for this past month. Even if a take a Ativan or lorazepam it won't go away I still feel, so I went to one psychitry that I know and he said that is anxiety and prescribe me risperidol .5 and mitrazapine 15mg to sleep, he said that will knock out the anxiety but again I came home and only took for one night and woke up very drowsy day after, so call back the doctor and made another appointment. And I ask to take lexapro bc I did some research "google" people had great results with lexapro. I started yesterday and still unable to sleep last night, I feel like zombie and I have all the parts that I mentioned on fire ,, feels like acid on my skin. I don't know what to do? I'm so scared, I'm 34 years old, I'm suffering a lot I can't accept that anxiety can be the cause of this burning skin. I can't stop searching for answer on google and this search is getting me crazy.. !i went to a hospital emergency room last month when the burning was minor and they did a quick check up and sent me home saying that I have to look for a internal doctor. I'm planing and go back to the hospital again and ask to check inn, to do more tests and find out ,,, but I don't know if they will take me in.. I also went to another psychiatry and he refuse to help me and told me to go to UCLA because they are the experts and will do whatever it takes to find the reason of what I'm feeling, so I made an appointment for yesterday with head of director for the psychiatric department, so we talk for 45 min and at the end he didn't prescribed anything and said that I have to do CBT,,and gave two phone numbers of two great doctors specialized in CBt and anxiety ,, waiting to make an appointment I left a message .., but I still in denial how a CBT will make me feel better ?? I just hope I don't feel this for the rest of my life ,, any advice I highly appreciate!! All this is ruining my life ?I can't sleep for this past month few hours at night .. i Ned help thank you so much ! Sorry for the long story and the misspelling words. English is my second leguage.
