  1. Thank you jonathan123, No my wife is not supportive at least in the compassionate sense, this week I am being pressured back to work as my gp set a time frame of 4 weeks from May 22nd/15. I would welcome returning to work if I felt I could cope. I will see him on Friday for a re-assessment but I know I am not ready as I still have problems with sleeping and concentrating. Every day feels like 10 days. I will have a look around the site and see how others have managed but right now I am at my wits end. Any more suggestions are very much appreciated.
  2. About 6 weeks ago I became overwhelmed with insomnia , followed by anxiety and panic attacks at work and have been off work on stress leave ever since. I have been taking zopiclone for sleep during this period and slowly reducing the dosage. My gp prescribed a couple of short term anti-anxiety meds which I did try taking (one dosage) and found that the side effects were too much to continue. So here I am 6 weeks later finding myself anxious constantly(butterflies in my stomach) lonely ( wanting the company of my wife constantly) concentration is very difficult ,talking very little, withdrawn from things I enjoyed before. Worrying about a way too many things in life I guess brought me to this stage and I do not know how to break this cycle. I spend a way too much time on the internet reading articles and forums on anxiety looking for a quick fix which I know does't exist. I am sure there are many people on this forum who have experienced these same symptoms however I just need someone to talk to who understands and can show me that there is a light at the end of the tunnel
