  1. @Ironman that is where my struggle is. If your body has the actual virus then I have antibodies from the actual illness rather than a fake spike protein. I feel like they are just trying to get everyone to get the vaccine no matter what and do the people who had it really need it? I need to somehow stop it from ruining my life because it’s all i think about and it is causing me debilitating anxiety which my logical mind knows is silly
  2. Last year i homeschooled my kids full time and my husband wanted them to go back to school and i didn’t. Less than 2 weeks into the school year they brought home covid and while it blew through the kids like nothing. I just felt like the flu. My husband got it worse and i was so scared and worried about him possibly dying. Although he was the sickest he has ever been he wasn’t close to needing to go to hospital. Just media contestant talking about dying. He got the monoclonal antibodies and got better but since then i have been having severe anxiety. I can’t get covid out of my mind and it is all i think about. I am scared to death of the shot after seeing something on YouTube about it ruining peoples lives to where they can’t even function. I know out of all the people that got the shot majority are fine but i can’t get that out of my head and it is ruining my life. I can’t get over my anxiety about it. I know most will say just go get the shot but please be kind as i am deathly afraid. A lot of my fear is my kids bringing covid home again. I keep trying to tell myself they are coming out with a antiviral and there is a shot called novavax hopefully coming out soon that i would feel comfortable taking but how do i wait if it is affecting me this much? I see everyone else moving on with life and i am so miserable and stuck in my thoughts and anxiety
  3. It isn't a website. It's an app you download on your phone or tablet
  4. Really? Are you not in the US? I thought apps where a wood wide thing. Didn't know it went by country
  5. I'm having to force feed myself right now because of anxiety. It is a common symptom of anxiety. Just the smell of food cooking makes me gag. Everyone around me is having to force me to take bites of something/anything. I hate it. at least I'm losing weight, I guess.
  6. I have had an app on my phone forever and haven't used it in forever until o saw I needed an update today. It's called Happify and it has free games to help you meditate or just get your mind off of anxiety and breathing exercises. It is a community of people who you can talk to also. There are also areas to keep track of how you feel and write down what you are thankful and other things. Check it out. It might help someone here so I thought I would share. I really need to remember it's in my phone and use it when I'm anxious.
  7. Try magnesium. There is some stuff called calm magnesium. Look it up and read the reviews. It helps a lot of people with anxiety and sleep. I would definitely be looking for another doctor. There is no reason for her to say you can do it on your own. that is ridiculous
  8. Have you tried going to the doctor about your anxiety? There are meds so you don't need to suffer. I understand a lot of people don't like to get on meds. I was one of those people but it gives you your life back. Even just Xanax to take the edge off. If you don't want to try meds there are plenty of natural things that help with anxiety. If able, I highly suggest therapy. That's the best thing you could do because it help so you to know how to deal with it as for your girlfriend, people who have never had to deal with this have no idea what it is like to have to deal with this. I think they think it's just feels like little nerves that non anxious people feel. They don't realize how horrible it feels.
  9. I'm going through a setback right now and I miss sleeping well. I can't wait til I can get a good nights sleep again.
  10. I have been reading a lot about magnesium helping control anxiety. Does anyone use this to help with their anxiety? I went and bought a container of a product called "CALM magnesium" and it really does calm you down. I haven't taken it too often because if your body isn't used to it you will have loose stool and get crampy but it is supposed to help with sleep too. Hoping to take it more regularly so my body gets used to it and can up the dose to feel the full effect of it.
  11. Also. When I wake up, try not to look at the clock or move around too much. Keep your eyes closed and take several DEEP breathes over and over. You will eventually fall back asleep. Sometimes I even count each breath and before I know it I'm awake after sleeping from counting. I know this is easier said than done but it works a lot of the time
  12. Have you been to the doctor about your anxiety? Counseling helps a ton too. There are also MANY natural things you can take to try and calm down. As for sleep. Look up the mixture of Himalayan salt and honey. I tried it last night and it actually helped me sleep better. There is a brand called OLLY (I'm in the US) that has a gummy to help you sleep and it has great reviews. I have also started to listen to guided meditation when I wake up and even if I can't go back to sleep it keeps me calm and relaxed and I feel like I got some rest.
  13. when my anxiety first started my dr put me on buspar and that helped a lot but I waited too long to get help and became depressed too so had to get on Zoloft but if you just have anxiety you might want to try buspar. It doesn't have the side affects like the ssri meds.
  14. I am having a setback and having trouble sleeping. Luckily I am able to go to sleep and sleep for a while but usually wake by 4am. Being in my room anxious while everyone else in the house is peacefully sleeping is really bothersome to me. It is no big deal when I'm not anxious but being anxious adds an uncomfortable feeling. Tv doesn't really work cuz my brain is going constantly. Reading helps a little but I can only read for so long. Sometimes I will get in the shower but that doesn't waste much time. I have tried guided meditation and just lay there but I can never go back to sleep but I guess it passes time and is calming. as soon as the sun starts to come up I am fine and usually fall back asleep but that time awake is miserable What do you guys do while awake at night? has anyone figured out a way to get yourself back to sleep
  15. It's odd to me that they would have discontinued it because it is made by the same company that makes the name brand Zoloft which is why it was so good. Usually I don't care about brands and stuff but this type of med is different than any other kind of med. I don't want to go back into that dark hole I was in before. I am down so much from what I was on and my dr wants me to see if I can get off of it anyways so a little sooner won't matter. I'm just glad I had a heads up and can cut back on this brand without having to go cold turkey
  16. I just called the manufacturer of the med and they discontinued it :-( I guess it's time to see if I can go off the med completely. Or buy the named brand for ridiculous money
  17. No it isn't the same. I have switched to other brands of Zoloft and was out in a tailspin with anxiety again. This brand is the only one I am stable on. From reading online I am not the only one
  18. I have been in Zoloft for about 3 years now and started out on the generic brand of greenstone. Walgreens switched brands and I immediately noticed a difference and anxiety/insomnia coming back full force. I found a pharmacy that carried the greenstone and have been using them for a while. They also switched the brand of generic but were kind enough to keep special ordering me the greenstone brand. I went in today to pick up some pills they owed me from last time because they didn't have it all in stock. As I am picking it up the girl informs me that when she tried to order more for me so they have it for next time that they couldn't order that brand for some reason. She said since the end of June or something they haven't been able to find it anywhere. Does this mean it is discontinued? Has anyone had this happen to them? I'm so worried because that is the only generic brand that has worked so well for me. I am already only taking 25mg from slowly weaning from 100mg. I have enough for 2 months but if she can't order that certain brand then I am screwed. I'm wondering if I should try to wean off within that 2 months so I don't need to worry about it and see how I do. But then I'm worried that if I can't wean then I'm screwed cuz I won't have anything else to go on. I'm scared to take another kind of pill and I know how the other generics affect me. Is it normal to not be able to order a certain pill but then able to get it at another point in time?
  19. My dad was just telling me about this the other day. I was a little anxious so I tried it. IT WORKED! You are so busy trying to memorize the numbers that you said that you totally forget about panicking.
  20. I too was doing whatever I could to not go on any pills. I was so bad this time around that I HAD to get on something. The dr put me on Zoloft. He told me to take 50mg and that was way too much to start out with. That along with mentally fighting and scared of side affects I went bonkers that first night. Extreme anxiety to where I thought I was gonna have to go to the ER. I also could not sleep at all when I first got on it. Dr gave me ambien for sleep until my body got used to the med (some people say it makes them sleepy, but not me). I also went down to 25 mg and each week went up by 25mg at a time. By the second or third week I felt such a relief from anxiety. For me Zoloft has been a life saver for me. I also found an excellent therapist and learned how to deal with the anxiety itself. I was also on Xanax 3 times a day at first. I am now down to half of one pill just at night. What works for one person doesn't always work for the other so you might have to try different meds but at least give the med 2-4 weeks before you give up on it. Also a benzo will help until the ssri kicks in. Good luck
  21. I kind of feel the same way about my husbands days off. I think it is because it disrupts routine and kind of throws everything off. When my husband is at work I can do whatever I want and when he is here I feel like I pressured to always be doing something. He likes being out and about and I am a home body. I think it's kinda normal for us anxious people to feel this way when our routine is thrown off balance. Maybe when he is home and you feel overwhelmed; go into a room and have some time to yourself or take a bath or something. Have him take the kids somewhere so you can be home alone. That helps me a lot.
  22. When I first started Zoloft it really affected my sleep. I had to get on sleeping pills but it eventually got better. Hopefully last night was just a bad night/ isolated incident and you will be ok. Zoloft has been a life saver for me. Hope it works just as well for you
  23. I have always had the same problem and still do. When I was younger I would never sleep over anyone's house because I would get horrible anxiety when it was time to go to bed and I would find myself awake and freaking out while everyone else was fast asleep. Even now, when I go somewhere like a hotel or something I will get anxiety before bed. It usually helps me if I talk to myself that there is nothing wrong and tell myself that the faster I go to sleep the faster tomorrow will come to where I will be fine. I also will watch Netflix on my phone until I'm so tired I fall asleep while watching a show. Sometimes it also helps to close my eyes and pretend I'm at my house and think of where everything in my room located. Hope that makes sense. Glad you got through it. The more we do things that make us anxious, the less anxious we become about it
