Hello everyone. How are you? Anne here. I am new to this site. How helpful is the site for those who have anxiety and depressive moods like I do? I have been wondering how to snap out of this again for the past few days. Not sure if things are worth it anymore, that kind of jag.

I had it done twice this past two months and this time I find out what the problem is on Wednesday my next DR appt. I'm scared as I think one of the tests will determine wether or not the large Cyst I have is c***** or not.

I'm wondering alot these days myself to switch over to the Voice, other than AI. AI has been a borefest for me this Season more than ever before. I like X Factor as well. Now I'm also watching America's Got Talent and I find it more fun than Idol too.

Hello. I'm a new member here and looking around enjoying the forum. Hope to be more active as the weeks go on, so far I find this forum to be pretty easy to use and informatively helpful. I'm so glad to have found forums like this. I'm 48 and unmarried with no kids, mostly by choice. I'm a momma to one cat and have some forms of depression and social anxiety. Plus now some other health issues this year so it's been a lonely time for me this year.

I have noticed it helps me too. I'm into digital art and arranging kinds of scrap booking things, so it is still a form of art, no?

Thanks for the welcome! I was thinking it might be a cover up as he jokes about it and thinks these things are cute. I know he doesn't do it in public though, just at home here. I asked him one time if he did it at work and he said no. I have parents who just defend his actions so I doubt this will ever be resolved.

Try some yoga, a warm bath or eat a banana or have warm milk 3 hours before bedtime. It might calm you down. I have the same problem and I never take my own advice half the time or more.

I have a brother whose 45. He is a compulsive hoarder. He still lives at home, and he has this "bedroom" there which he has told everyone not to go in. I got mad at him one day and decided to find out what he was "hiding" in there, and much to my surprise his room was in shambles, empty large dirty fishtanks in it, a cloth rag for a "bed" on the floor ( he sleeps on the couch downstarirs normally at night though) and just garbage and unkempt junk allover. Then when he's in a good mood he will repeat words or phrases over and over, up to mabye 6 or 7 times per night when he gets home from work. He used to have to sing along with a song on TV on one commercial they used to overplay until it stopped at as well. Every so often he gets a new phrase, like the newest one is "Got an itch". He has to say (jokingly) to my Mom here "Shut Up" and other little silly quirky things he thinks are cute. He must have at least ten phrases total. Others he says lesser times than not. I was wondering if any of these said things mean he is OCD? I wish he'd just clean up the room and the hallway where all his stuff is spread all over, and it is a hoarder's night mare. I had thought there was a connection between the two.

Agoraphobia is a bad thing when you need to drive somewhere but can't seem to get in the car and go. I have not driven in years due to that. I like going out to many places with people I know but if I have to go alone or drive somewhere it is really nuts. I can't even take a bus by myself or taxi. I don't have many rides to places either so am always at home, it seems except to go with family or a friend if I choose to.
