  1. Yeah, I think I should go to my doctor, my trouble is actually talking about it once i'm there, I don't really know how to put into words how i'm feeling.. I'm also worried that they'll suggest medication, not sure I like the idea of it, but if they do suggest it and I say no, then will they just put it off as me not wanting help? I think I much prefer the idea of CBT if it's available, Thanks so much for all the responses everyone, it's surprising how much it helps just being able to talk to people going through the same stuff as you

Hi, I'm new here, I think I have social/general anxiety in some form, though I've never spoken about it to anyone, so I don't have a 'formal diagnosis' of anything, do you even get a diagnosis for anxiety? Anyway, just looking for somewhere where people are dealing with the same sort of stuff, trying to find ways of stopping this from affecting my life so much, maybe work myself up to actually talk to my doctor about it, and try and get some counselling or something, does anyone have experience with counselling/therapy?Does it actually help? Hopefully I can talk to some of you soon, thanks, Rosie x
