you should just tell your therapist about how people are telling you that ADD is overdiagnosed, and that that concerns you. you say you can't get a hold of her but eventually you will. i can't tell you what you have or don't have. :wink:

yo dude, im sorry about your anxiety and all the pains you get from it. i hate headaches. is the feeling you get in your chest constant or does it only happen at times? i had a girlfriend once who used to have panic attacks, she would describe them sort of like you described your pains. lots of headaches and it hurt her chest a lot. then we broke up and her panic attacks stopped. so clearly i was doing something wrong. i don't really have any advice though.. except maybe talk to a doctor or counselor and see if they can help at all. sounds like maybe your last year of school is stressing you out. at least sounds like its exacerbating things.

i don't see why it wouldn't be possible. but i don't think it is the manufacturing companies fault that a lot of people are unhealthy from eating processed foods. i don't know if that's something you were trying to imply. but like someone said, the companies are looking for profit and the demand is for a lot of processed foods. people are making the decision to buy those foods. if they didn't buy them then there would be less demand and companies would stop supplying them. it is really up to themselves if people want to become healthier, there isn't anybody else to blame. the mental benefits of eating foods you like probably outweigh the physical harm if it is only every now and then. -
i think the best diet is one personalized for the individual. everybody is different. i didn't think low carb dieting was very healthy at all but then i tried keto and it works out really well for me. i no longer have digestive pain and the only thing ive been able to connect that with has been the change in my diet. for some people low carb dieting is probably awful. think you have to find what works for you which takes patience sometimes.

awesome gilly do you run at all? swimming and running are good cardio, running is probably harder on the knees though. i wish i could swim but its freezing here and there are no indoor pools i know of, so i just run a lot. i do 5 miles every morning at 5 at low intensity, so its more like jogging i guess. -
i remember the first time i heard somebody mention that in order to lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you consume. i didn't understand it very well so i thought it meant that i literally had to burn 2000 calories with exercise every day. which is a ton. your body burns calories just to stay alive. if you type "bmr calculator" into google you should come up with a bunch of different calculators that when you fill it out, it ought to tell you roughly how many calories your body burns every day just by being alive. for example mine is about 1600. this means i only need to burn about 400 calories through exercise to have burned 2000. so if i were to eat 2000 calories one day, then exercise until i burn an additional 500 or 600 calories to equal 2100 or 2200 calories burned that day, that would be considered burning more calories than id be consuming, and on paper that means i ought to lose weight.
