My internal medicine physician told me that typically tongue issues are nothing to be concerned about.

Again STOP WEIGHING YOURSELF. Seriously I cannot emphasize it enough. Stop it. Put it away for awhile. Everyone's weight goes up and down. Non-anxious people just don't notice because they aren't being hypervigilant. Put the scale away. It is telling you nothing.

Dr. Internet probably causes more anxiety then all other factors put together, Kay. I stopped trying to diagnose myself many, many years ago. Please consider going to the doctor, Kay. Just doing that alone makes me feel better. Will be keeping you in my prayers... Chuck🐈

Kay... There may be something wrong with you that is causing your weight loss, but the odds are in your favor that it is not something serious. I can't speak for you, but I know that I feel better when a trained physician can pinpoint what is causing a problem I am having, and then I can deal with it. Last year I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Instead of panicking, I grabbed the bull by the horns so to speak. I got the best urologist and cancer specialist I could find, received treatment, and now it appears I have beat the cancer. I am really hopeful that what is causing your weight loss is not serious, and I'll be keeping you in my good thoughts... Chuck😉

Hi Kay, A few points. First, my understanding is that water loss/gain as well as excretions are magnified (larger amount) in people of a heavier weight. Thus, as was mentioned before, it's apples and oranges to say 10 lbs in 6 months for you and same for someone weighing 150 lbs. I agree with others that regardless, such a small percentage weight loss means nothing sinister. If you were suffering from the illness you fear, there is no way you would have no other symptoms. I say "other" but I don't consider the weight thing an issue to begin with. You would no doubt have extreme, like never before exhaustion that no amount of sleep can fix. Also, I take it you are in your late 30's. Statistically, ~ 1-10,000 people your age get CC, and more men get it than women. Many who do get early CC have a certain condition that causes literally hundreds of polyps to develop in their colon. Don't worry, if that were your case, it would have been discovered long ago. There's no hiding from that genetic condition. Bob

I had those pencil thin stools for 2 months straight last year. and yes, changes all the time. My doctor blames anxiety and IBS. What if you stop examining your bowel movements for a few days? See if it improves. Anxiety really wreaks havoc on your digestive system!

Hi Kay... You mentioned in your initial post that you have given-up drinking alcohol on weekdays. I'm not certain how much you were drinking, but alcohol has a lot of calories. Also, your weight loss is really not that much if you have lost just 8 pounds in a seven month period. That is just a little over a pound a month, and the elimination of the alcohol on weekdays could very easily account for that. And as RLP mentioned above, an increase in anxiety will burn lots of calories. Could very well be that it's a combination of you not drinking on weekdays, plus an increase in anxiety because you are concerned about your weight loss. Hope this is some good food for thought for you... Chuck🐈

Hi RLP!... That is such great news that you contacted your insurance company, and are going to get some help with your OCD! What my psychiatrist meant by it's good to have a little bit of OCD, is that it can make you more precise, more detailed to doing certain things. I imagine that many famous artists and musicians had or have some OCD. Well I wish you the best at getting your life more under control. Have a good night... Chuck🐱

This sounds like a mucocele, they are essentially mouth pimples, and can be pretty much anywhere inside the mouth. They can be painful, but they are harmless. I had one of these. To get rid of it I rinsed my mouth with salt water three times a day until it went away, which it did in about 4 days, listerine mouth wash can also get rid of it. Mucoceles can look like clear lumps or white lumps and often hurt like pimples, but sometimes they are painless. Mine started out looking like a raised bump before it turned clear and then white. I hope that you feel better soon

Talk to your Dr about your anxiety. That's what this is.. it's nothing concerning about the weight it's the way you are reacting to it. Ask your Dr about the weight worry and he will reassure this isn't a big weight or dramatic weight loss at all. Hugs.
