Hi all,

As you know, I really struggle with thoughts/feelings/symptoms related to neurological diseases, in particular ALS. I previously suffered from mild to moderate OCD, which was largely manageable, but my HA exploded in May this year out of nowhere.

I am currently on medications: 30 mg of an SSRI (Paxil), which is still a fairly low dose for an OCD sufferer per my psychiatrist, and close to completely weaning off my anti-anxiety medication (Lorazepam/Ativan at only 0.25 mg a day - from about 1mg a day initially since June). The medications have really helped to temper the anxiety, keep me calmer, and more rational, and have prevented any anxiety attacks. Of course, they do not address the whole problem, because HA and OCD are thinking disorders, and so therapy is a very essential component.

I have seen a therapist now for about 7 sessions over the last 2 months. She was definitely helpful in the beginning to teach me some relaxation techniques and coping skills, but I just have a sense that we've about hit the point where she does not have much more to offer. I don't think she has a lot of experience with HA and OCD treatment just based on some of her comments. I know she has quite a few patients were a fear of germs, but that is so very different. For example, upon discussing my fears of ALS, she would often say things like, well the body has an amazing ability to fight off disease, which is of course true, but utterly meaningless when it comes to ALS or motor neuron disease. When a therapist says seemingly empty things or things that are factually inaccurate, it leads me to then doubt them and not really help my progress. She also suggests replacing anxious thoughts with thoughts about happy things and activities, peace is a position of power, etc. etc. all of which just seems a little to generalized, trite, and easy. Don't get me wrong; she is an incredibly sweet lady, well meaning and kind, but I just wonder if I should not try to find someone with a bit more experience in my particular problems. My brother has been through OCD treatment before, and as I recall, the treatment was quite a bit more aggressive, involving elements of exposure therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, etc. In my sessions, we mostly just talk, which was fine initially, but I feel like I'm not making further progress.

With all the above said, I'm also cautious about just searching for a new therapist, because I know that I, as a HA and OCD sufferer, often overanalyze things and can be too clever for my own good, and perhaps I am jeopardizing my own therapy? Or does it just sound like it is not a good fit?

Honest opinions please. I can take it

Hey all. This last week I developed eye redness in my right eye and it's now painful with any light I look at. I went to an urgent care yesterday and she thinks conjunctivitis but wasn't sure. I have antibiotic eye drops to use. It hurts my eye just to look at my phone screen. Anyone had something like this before?

	Hello everyone.

I'm considering Botox treatments and would love advice from people with experience. I'm curious about how effective it is for reducing fine lines and whether results look natural or overly stiff. How painful are the injections, and how long does the procedure usually take?

I'm also interested in how long results last and how often maintenance sessions are needed. Are there any side effects or risks I should be aware of before trying it? Finally, how do you choose a qualified practitioner to ensure safety and good results?

Any personal experiences, tips, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all, lately I've been noticing at night in bed I will have spasms where it feels like I'm clenching my anus. I can only really describe it like an orgasm type spasm with the pelvic floor. But it includes the anus. I know I have a hemorrhoid right at the opening there as well. But the spasms are a newer thing. Anyone else experience this?

I had my annual with my OBGYN. I have thyroid nodules. I have been getting scans for a few years. The schedule I had been on was a scan every two years. I do not remember getting a new schedule of going every year. I didn’t go last year. I believed I had to go this year. I was sick since September with my allergies I have either had a cough or was outright fighting a cold since September of last year. I am still not 100% I still have post nasal drip and I am still coughing. My issue is my doctor told my that on my last scans I had new thyroid nodules and my lymph nodes were reactive. I wasn’t told that it was a problem or was asked to come back but now that I know that I am worried. One of my lymph nodes on my neck is engaged. It has shrunk down quite a bit because I am not as sick as I had been but I can still feel it. I got very sick in November and it was very swollen but it’s shrunk down but it hasn’t completely gone away. I have been googling even though I know I shouldn’t do that. The thyroid nodules and engaged lymph nodes are signs of thyroid cancer. I see that the lymph node engagement might point to the cancer spreading. I have an appointment for scans next month and right now I am terrified. Thyroid cancer is very fixable but now I’m worried that it might have spread because I was not paying attention.

	Hi everyone,

I recently started researching deworming treatments and wanted to gather some advice before trying anything new. I came across fenbendazol 100 g, and I’m curious about its effectiveness and safety.

Has anyone used this specific dosage form, and what were your experiences regarding proper dosing schedules and potential side effects?

I’m also interested in whether it’s suitable for long-term use and any tips on sourcing a reliable product.

I’ve read mixed information online, so personal experiences would be really helpful.

Looking forward to your insights and recommendations.

	Hello everyone.

I've been reflecting on the idea of Spiritual Living and how it can positively impact our overall well-being. Many spiritual teachings suggest that living with mindfulness, compassion, and gratitude can lead to a more fulfilling and peaceful life.

However, I often find it challenging to maintain a consistent spiritual practice amidst daily responsibilities. How can we integrate practices like meditation, mindfulness, and self-awareness into our busy routines?

What are some practical tips or personal experiences you have on how to cultivate a life of Spiritual Living, even with a hectic schedule?

I’ve recently been prescribed a new diabetes medication and wanted to hear from others about their experiences. How effective has it been in controlling your blood sugar levels? I’m referring to Xigduo XR 10/1000mg Tablet, which my doctor suggested as part of my treatment plan.

Did you notice any side effects like nausea, dizziness, or digestive discomfort? How long did it take before you saw any improvements in your readings?

I’d also love to know how well it fits into your daily routine and whether combining it with other medications has worked for you.

I’ve posted about this three years ago and it still bothers me. I’ve had flat cherries on arms since late 20s lots of them and since 30 past three years I keep getting them on breast’s. I read women who are pregnant sometimes get them from hormones but I’m not even close to being pregnant and I’m not on any pills. I read they could be genetic but no one in family has them I read mixed info about them. I’m afraid most dr don’t really now I asked my dr she said they were normal but drs online I asked on HealthTap and other articles say it could mean high estrogen which causes cancer I’m afraid they’re right since why do I keep in no amount of time on my breasts no where else. I’m just going out of my mind thinking I’m gonna get cancer and die. I did a huge mistake reading women online who had breast cancer talking about them having these dots there. I just don’t know what to think. Any women get this in their breast young and have them for years Is what these drs think true?

So I have GAD and I'm a hypochondriac and I had to have a hysterectomy 10 days ago and my anxiety has been insane! I'm not in any pain really I just feel very tired and weak and loss of appetite and kind of out of it. Now the anxiety is coming in by feeling like maybe I shouldn't have done this cause my body can't handle it, am I ever going to feel normal again, I'm constantly feeling dread since doing this and it's been really hard to start to feel better when the anxiety is keeping me down. Just wondering maybe if anyone else has had surgery and if you felt the same way? Or how I'm feeling physically and emotionally are normal? Please try to keep it positive I don't want to panic lol

Ok so I've lost ten pounds in four weeks. Between thinking I have cancer to ALS and my anxiety being in a constant state of fight or flight, I haven't been eating much. I've been to the Dr who just gave me pills to try and sustain my appetite, I didn't even pick up the prescription. I ate normally yesterday but my scale still said less this morning than it did yesterday morning. I'm somewhere between getting ready to throw my scale in the trash and going to the emergency room. Has this kind of weight loss happened to anyone else?

So a couple of hours ago I noticed some discomfort and wateriness in my right eye. My vision is fine and still is for the record, but when I went to look in the mirror, one side of the eye is reddish pink and the other side not so much. It's not so much pain as in severe pain but more of an annoying "this didn't use to be here" kind of thing but the redness and such is what's tripping me out.

I do have HBP but I don't know if that hurts or helps me. It gets better with compresses but I need to know if it's something I need to worry about. The discomfort/pain is on the side with more redness, I think it could be a burst blood vessel but IDK what could have done it aside from maybe sneezing or rubbing it wrong.

I have really bad health anxiety I have since I was young! Now being older you would think I could control it but I just can’t! My biggest thing is when I get to worrying about something I completely lose my appetite! Like the thought, smell, or even thinking of food makes me nauseous and gag! So right now I have a crazy bruise on my foot it won’t heal I been to the er 3 times and all blood work and X-rays come out fine but I can’t get my appetite back! But no one in my family understands me especially my husband and it’s lonely! I’m only 5’1 and lost about 6 lbs (so I weigh about 90lbs right now)in the last 10 days and I would just like a friend or someone that goes through similar experience with eating! Everyone thinks I want to be this way to not be able to eat and I’m just struggling to get out of this crazy cycle!

Sincerely Just someone looking for a friend or someone who understands

Kind of out of no where over the last few weeks these fears over small short term memory misses have crept back into my mind to where I can't help but focus on every time I miss something small. The last time I really had this come on strong was August 2024. It all but vanished for the most part this last year. Little times here and there that made me think about it but I let it go quickly. I had my annual last week and she asked me if I had any dementia worries. I had never been asked that by a doctor but sadly was right in the beginning of a fresh anxiety spike of fearing it again. I am really trying to believe it's anxiety again. I feel like it would be far worse and wouldn't have vanished for so long if it had truly started a year ago. I was okay yesterday and started to calm down and let it go and then this morning another small thing with work happened. Something small but forgetting I sent a message to a co-worker, telling others I hadn't don it, and then realizing I had. To be fair, it was a quick follow up and he never answered until much later, so I think I just didn't think much of sending it. But you would think I would remember having sent that small question when someone asked me if I had. Little things but they spike that anxiety bug telling me something is clearly wrong! I don't usually find myself struggling to this degree these days. But this one has caught me off guard.

I've been battling it for a few months now. I was carrying some very light boxes out back, one in each hand, and when I stepped my right foot down (there's about a half step height between my doorway and porch) as soon as it hit the porch I pitched over and fell. I think I recall my ankle rolling as it hit the porch, which my ankles are prone to, and I think I may have stepped with my foot partially on this thick plastic rug we have. The rug is about an inch in height so my foot may have been even more uneven.

Either way, I ate ****, HARD.

Hi. Has anyone had any experience with itchy skin? I mean all over. Arms, legs, back, chest, head, face, hands and feet. Not there all the time and not everywhere all at once. It comes and goes. I’ve had it for about a week now. My dr sent me for bloodwork to check liver and pancreas etc. he has also sent a request for allergy testing. I know serious things with the liver and pancreas will show up in bloodwork but it will not show lymphoma which is my main worry.

Unfortunately my dr has a family emergency and had to go away for 2 weeks. I won’t see him for my blood test results until May 9th.
I’ve had itchy skin in the past that lingered for some time and it was never determined what it was. Back then my focus was always liver or pancreas ca. I never even thought of lymphoma back then. Now it’s all I can think of. I’m really struggling to stay calm with this. It’s just another worry added to the stress I already have from my aortic aneurysm diagnosis. Thx for reading. Any help or advice is appreciated.

I am over weight. I went in with calf pain and fear of a blood clot and all was normal thank God! The doctor didnt mention my liver enzymes but now I am freaking out. I was dehydrated when they did the blood work and I did have calf pain. I AM SCARED I COULD HAVE HAD A HEART ATTACK OR LIVER FAILURE OR SOMETHING SERIOUS!!!!

Hey all! I hate to be back here but I have a fear in the back of my mind about a checkup I have next week. I have the actual checkup first then a week after that I visit my actual doctor. My doc's actually really awesome and helps with my fears, helped me get off another medication (Xanax) with minimal withdrawal, and always supported me so it's not so much her I'm afraid of.

This checkup includes a blood test which is honestly what has me the most worried. Granted it's just a basic test and last year my numbers came back pretty much perfect, but this anxiety is eating at me like if they find something wrong with me despite feeling no discernable symptoms.

For context, I'm a 32 year old male who's overweight and has high blood pressure controlled with medication. Otherwise I'm healthy insofar as I don't have worrisome symptoms. I really just need reassurance that my numbers will come back fine whenever I have my test done.

Hello all! About two weeks ago I had the most stressful 3-4 days of my life with a pretty big breakdown and stress overload. I feel that I dealt with it pretty well and moved past it. Some more things coming up to make sure it stays at bay and won't happen again are happening next week.

All that being said, about one week ago I started feeling a jolt when trying to rest that made me start wondering if it was heart related. I believe it was just nerves and stress as nothing ever came with it. After I stopped focusing on the jolting, which did leave afterward, I started having a chest flutter that almost feels like a little rumble right in the center of my chest at random times. Usually, it only happens a few times per day. Of course my mind also goes to my heart, which is a bit concerning. I know I have had this before but usually it resolves totally after one day or so. I also have a horrible cold for about a week now too and I am not entirely convinced that it isn't just my lungs doing something weird each time I feel it. I wear an apple watch and often keep an eye on my heart rate just to see where I'm at in overall health. It never seems to spike or drop when this happens. I don't ever feel light headed, sweaty, dizzy, short of breath, or anything else that usually accompanies heart related events.

So my reason for posting, while also just to say all this out loud and help me think, is to see what you guys think from an outside perspective. The fact that the details of what is happening already changed in a week makes me think this is likely just me focusing way too much on my body and not actually having an issues. I know stress can cause all kinds of stuff and that is something I have definitely had a lot of the last few weeks. I don't like going to doctors for nothing and this feels kind of like nothing. Since it is potentially my heart though, it makes me wonder if I shouldn't go check just in case? I'm not sure what to do but I know that going to a doctor will cause more anxiety as well. Thoughts?

its been a month and it started off with tension in my neck, head and in my shoulders. out of the blue the headache felt worse, my body started to hurt and ache almost like i did a full body work out and long came these sensations of tingling in my hands and feet. i felt like i had been run over by a truck. my stomach started feeling wonky, felt derealization (autopilot), forgetting things, losing the words i knew or was going to say. brain fog, hyperaware or reactive to movement (dog twitched and my head turned insanely fast like i was a drone capturing movement in a movie. overexaggerated i know.) funky mouth taste thats metallic or off, emotional and physical numbness, funky blurred vision. the tension and the dull throbbing of my head is consistent while pins and needles on my hands come and go. and others to.

i literally went into a spiral about my dog getting sick and then googled her symptoms that said "RABIES" GET CHECKED AND VACCINATED ASAP. which obviously wouldnt be the case, was way too scared to be around her to the point i think i dug the hole to go back into this trance. i also had loads of stress for my falconry exam that i pushed it off. relationship issues. i think all together put me in a vulnerable place without realizing. then come a month ago just crashed. been to hospitals and urgent care where CT's were done and Xrays were done on my head and spine. nothing malignant, blood work was good other than my elevated liver enzymes which was due to the frequent partying i was doing. did a b12 test that showed i was 230 in between the 213-1000 margins that are suppose to be normal. my doctor said i was borderline and sent me home with supplements to take. my therapist said i have a huge load of stress that my GAD set off. i truly do not like the feeling of being detached and in control of my cognitive thinking too.

before i continue to spiral and freak out has anyone experienced this? or is currently experiencing this? i literally think i have MS. or some serious dying nerves in my spine.

Hi everyone. I haven't posted here in years as I had total control of my HA and fears specifically Rabies and now Hanta virus.. around three weeks ago i drove into my driveway around 4;30 pm and saw a Racoon coming from garbage cans around my house and go into my neighbors yard. Ok I freaked that I walked in its saliva and had it on my shoes and I recently got sick with a sinus infection and for the last four days taking antibiotics now last week while cleaning I encountered mouse poop in a large quantity in my house due to mice coming in over the winter which I only saw one or two and trapped them now I am worried about that because I am wheezing and sometimes a little out of breath which could be the infection and I am asthmatic. Not sure if I am overreacting or showing signs of hanta virus I will confess I googled CDC Oh as for that racoon I saw it again yesterday as I came home by the garbage in daylight

First we will be going to the Dr tomorrow since today is Sunday.

Last night my son told my husband that he felt a lump under one of his nipples. I felt it myself and it feels like fatty tissue. It's soft, movable and right under his nipple. I went to Dr Google ( I know, I know) and it doesn't appear to be anything bad. I read that it can happen during puberty and it's normal? So I guess my questions is has anyone experienced this with their kids or themselves? I'm really trying not to freak out (I did last night) since there is nothing I can do today anyway. Just looking for any insight? Thanks.
