Crazy as it may seem to us peeps, but celebrities also suffer from anxiety and depression.

Only this week alone I found out that comedian Michael McIntyre and former Corrie actress Helen Flanagan both suffer from anxiety.

Helen is currently in the jungle in I'm A Celeb, and she seems to be getting voted for every task there is, this is really not nice for her .

Do you know of any other celebs who suffer like we do? Post your thoughts and celebs here.

	Hello Dear Forum Members!

This is my first post here, I hope I’m not violating any rules.

I've just published my first book and I think it could help many of you, too. The story is the following:

Last year when I spent a long time alone in nature, I opened my heart and I had very strong intuitive and inspirational thoughts about OCD. I quickly wrote these thoughts down. As I got more and more of these thoughts, I decided to formulate them into a little book. I originally intended to write this book just for myself, but then I realized it could be a tremendous help for others, too. So I actually published it a couple of days ago.

The title is "OCD as Seen by the Soul". You can find it on Amazon and Apple Books, too.

	https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085S78S7S

I’m really interested in your opinion, so I'd like to hand out 3 free copies.

Just take a look at the preview of the book, and you'll see my email address there. Send me an email and tell me that you're coming from www.anxiety-central.com, and I'll send a free copy to three people, who are interested. (I don't know the forum rules, you can contact me in other ways, too.)

Please only respond if you are open-minded and you're longing for some soul-level encouragement, a soul-level support. In fact, the whole book is like an enthusiastic pep-talk from the first to the last letter.

	Thank you so much!

My husband did not get a new contract for teaching at his school an hour from our home because he's turning 70 and told them NO to coaching 2 sports. He's a math teacher with a special ed degree as well. Basketball practice and games were always after 6:30 and he wasn't getting home until almost 10 p.m. and has to leave around 6 a.m. to get to work on time in the traffic. As of the end of August, we will have only social security AND they denied payment for my MRI/ MRU and CT scans this past month.

If you are in the U.S. and have anxiety that has ever been recorded on a doctor's chart, you are one of the millions.

	ARE YOU an #IAmAPreexistingCondition ?

	Hi everyone!

I would like to share an article written by Scott Stossel. I hope it's ok to post an external link, was hoping for a Moderator to come on to get approval.

When reading, bare with him, the first paragraphs are about self-medicating (not everybody's cup of tea). Also, it might include some triggers for people with fear of vomiting and flying.

I find it to be an honest essay about his personal journey.

It's long, but well worth the read in my opinion. And don't skip the comment section(Some of the usual arguing, misinterpretations going on but still good).

	Here is the link: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2014/01/surviving_anxiety/355741/

Would love to have an open dialogue on everyones take on this!

	Many greetings!

‘Exit’ is the story of Briar who spent a year trapped in her room, suffering from agoraphobia. Six years on, she’s free, yet ripples from the year’s isolation still lap at the edges of her life, especially when she meets a man who thinks he’s the reincarnation of Robin Hood - stealing from the rich to give to the poor, and he begins to draw her into his dark world. Ripples echo down through the years, leading her to the answer to one very simple question: is she losing her mind?

We are based out of the Chicagoland area where we have been running a support group for the past 4 years.
