    • Unsure if I should take medication
I have mostly overcome most of my anxieties on my own without the help of any medication. I rarely have panic attacks anymore, and I've noticed I'm less anxious than I used to be. But I still struggle with social anxiety a lot. I've heard of the medications Propranolol and Atenolol and I heard they help a lot with social anxiety. I was wondering if anyone here has taken either of these and if they helped them? I wouldn't be taking these daily, only when I'm about to do a presentation or something of the sort. I'm just scared of the side effects, I've always been scared of medication. But I really feel like it could help me. I'm going to talk to my doctor about it, but for now does anyone know how well these work? And did you get any bad side effects or problems from them?

Hey Breath, So sounds like you have had a lot thrown at you and its all sort of hitting you at once. Many positives to your post. I am sorry for the pain you've been through but the majority of results were good . I think it is easy for us to find bad in a world of good cause it just seems to stand out more.  One thing at a time. Don't ever try to put too much in on your plate. It overwhelms. Gets you over thinking and the spiral continues.  Not working gives you a lot of time to think... Try to get yourself into something. Occupy your time. Shift your focus from how you physically feel to other things. Time with the kiddos your fiancé. Our anxiety gets worse when its all we focus on. That is why CBT therapy is so important. When we think positive things its a positive domino effect. When we think negative its like a volcano erupts . I know it feels like you went from one thing to the next and then its always something going on and that is frustrating . But, you sometimes just have to take a step back. Think of all that you have going good and take it one day at a time.  Stay strong and positive my friend. Remember nothing lasts forever so bad days will turn into good

me, Gale, I do! Like you I'm sick of it...the fatigue is horrible, I feel like I'm wasting my life being tired all the time. I sleep whenever I can, sometimes sleeping my weekends away. I get the heat sensations also, mostly in my right foot and toes (who knows why its there) sometimes in my upper right back/shoulder. I sit on my chair at work and feel myself sway and think its an earthquake. I get twitches in my fingers - both hands. I get feelings like bugs are crawling on my skin. I've been dealing with this stuff coming up 2 years now. It comes and goes and at times it seems to have gone away then boom its back. I too wonder if its something else wrong with me, I try not to let that thought take ground because I know that's the spiral back into despair but its hard sometimes. I'm constantly reassuring myself its just anxiety, its just anxiety!
