So frustrated---need to vent

Recommended Posts

So today I caught someone in a lie. Not just any small white lie but one that impacts people on a profound basis. I'm so frustrated with myself right now because I knew/felt in my gut this person was lying. And I was always told no, it's the truth. And my blood is boiling and I'm so angry......and that feels pretty great! I'm not a person who gets like this easily....but it feels good....a relief too because my gut feeling was right all along. And I used some pretty colorful language while communicating which is usually not my style either...and that felt great too!

:p

Thoughts? Your experiences with frustration anger please! Anything is welcome:)

Take their picture.  Light up a flame.  Throw it in a toilet and flush them from your life.  Getting your blood boiling would only affect your body.  Try my method. :)

Glad you vented that anger you had, must have felt really good.  I tend to cry when I'm angry but then I'm a 74 year old woman and have never been around screaming or hitting, not that you did that anyway.

Thank you and yes, it felt good. I don't know if this helps any but I have a friend who has clinical depression and her Psychiatrist told her patients with depression( I don't know if that's your situation at all, just putting it out here)  tend to direct the anger inwards? LIke I said not sure if this helps any but I remembered that reading your post. Not meaning to overstep or anything. Best Wishes and thanks for letting me vent...:D

lol @Lucid    Just let me enjoy it already! Just kidding I'm already passed it. But it felt great!

I got angry because I was in a relationship with this person, years ago. And it just got me frustrated and angry to see he still lies. But we all make our own choices and live with the consequences.

I do know that anger turned inwards can cause depression and I am on an antidepressant.  I don't feel depressed but I do deal with anxiety.  I've had a lot of loss in my life and grief comes to the surface now and then and I do cry.  It feels good to get those feelings out just like getting the anger out.  Glad you're feeling better

Oh sorry lol....i meant what if it's your teen lying to you. Small white lies which can turn into bigger ones. Oh and breaking rules.

Right now I am going through anxiety so it's hard when she continues the same behaviours.

I agree, you don't need more stress with lies when you already are dealing with anxiety.  Try deep breathing and maybe do some swearing if you use that for your frustrations.  I must admit I toss in a few damn its now and then.
